In Gilgit-Baltistan, a free, exclusive bus service launched for women to begin operations. The official Twitter account of the Gilgit-Baltistan chief secretary office made the news.
The Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Chief Minister Khalid Khursheed officially launched the pink bus service, which will run on four important routes in Gilgit and Skardu between 6:00 am and 9:00 am and 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
According to a statement from the chief secretary, female professionals such as teachers, doctors, lawyers, and other professions will benefit from women-only bus service.
The buses will operate during rush hour along the major roads in Gilgit and Skardu, according to the report. The administration has not yet disclosed the precise routes and schedules for each city, though. The tweet continues:
Four routes have been designated for buses to run twice daily, from 6am to 9am and 1pm to 3pm. This effort will help female students, educators, doctors, lawyers, and other professionals. The traffic cops have been told to make room for these buses on the roadways.
The recent snowfall and hazardous driving conditions have led to a change in the Babusar Top transit schedule, according to the Diamer District Administration. Last week, the picturesque tourist destination experienced its first snowfall of the year. After that, the enormous influx of visitors led to congested highway traffic.
According to the schedule, you are only permitted to use the Babusar Top highway between the hours of 6 AM and 6 PM. No car will be permitted on that highway before these times or after they pass. Additionally, after 6 o’clock at zero point, the authorities will stop all vehicles on Babusar Top Road.
